A randomized controlled study to compare the efficacy of standard treatment alone and in combination with homeopathic treatment in moderate/severe COVID-19 cases

Objective: To date, there is no known definitive cure for COVID-19. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of customized homeopathic medicines as an add-on therapy to Standard Care (SOC) in patients with moderate to severe COVID-19 infection. Methods: This was a randomized, controlled, single-blind, parallel-group design study in which 214 COVID-19 positive patients were screened for moderate to severe COVID-19 cases. Homeopathic medicines were administered in addition to the treatment group, and Standard Care (SOC) was applied to both groups. The duration of oxygen support was compared as the primary outcome. Participants were monitored for 28 days or until the mechanical ventilation/death endpoint.
